  1. I am not impressed with this having been my first time purchasing a water filter via the internet, versus a retail location. The water does have a taste that I have not noticed in the past with store bought filters. Although the price was catching, I will continue to do business in stores rather than the internet.

  2. Product is really good. Ofcourse we love amazon. They are the best. But I found little difficulty in installing the product. Finally i was able to install it.

  3. I find it very disappointing and hard to believe water tastes like it needs a water filter when being filtered through an expensive filter. Tap water tastes better than the filtered water. . . . . . . what is the point?????

  4. I moved to a location where the water is extremely hard and full of particulates. It’s pretty difficult to believe it really is municipal water. In any case, I bought my refrigerator so that I’d have easy access to the filter, in this case this filter.

From the other reviews it has, it must be doing something right I guess. But when faced with horrible tap water it just can’t keep up. The massive calcium drip stains on the water dispense paddle, the foul flavored ice. . . these all tell the tale. I bought a pack of 6 with the fridge so I can replace them and each filter has been as bad as the last.

I’m pretty disappointed and will probably disassemble my last filter and just put in a input-output tube inside. Right now I get water out of the fridge and use that water just to fill up my older, more conventional pitcher filter. Funny enough: it’s a PUR filter pitcher. I guess PUR lent their name to a really crappy product this time around.

I know if *I* were depending on this filter for clean water, I’d ask a friend to bring their pitcher filter over so I can test before/after myself.

  5. Check closely in your refrigerator’s handbook to be sure you match up the right part number, but other than that. . . this works! It fits just fine, functions like it should, and does what it’s supposed to do.
