When the manufacturer says “silent,” they mean “silent if you lost the top half of your audience.” I bought this fan to use near my office with a computer rather noisy fan, however this is already the strongest thing in the room. Even the “low” setting has a strong Whine / Hum, unfortunately. A personal fan should be quiet enough not to be distracted and bored a full 8-bit delicate mètres.Un d other: The home base and clicks once secured, but must then be twisted, then go out (more likely) a little past the first position. I recommend this product. It is excellent quality. Very quiet when running and a lot of power.
