I used it all winter, and it is a trick. My wife suffered from nosebleeds and cracked skin before you bought it and now he is okay. It owns and enough water just need to change about every other day. Lights that tell when it is changed resivour displayed throughout the room. I ran mine in a small fan and it is not there when the TV is turned on. With a rest room you know its there, but it’s not annoying. I was disappointed with the air filter. It looks like one in the oven and Loosley caught behind. It deffinitly not HEPA if thats what you are looking for.

This is a great humidifier to add moisture or several rooms throughout the house. My house is ~ 1800 square meters and it is very dry in winter. This humidifier is a great job of adding a lot of humidity of the house before he died. The first year, the engine stopped working and I had to send the entire repair area. Then she died again — same problem as the motor is faulty. Very frustrating, and now I have a big piece of useless plastic. I would not recommend Essick / Bemis products due to very poor reliability.

Tropical is the word that comes to mind when one thinks of Boston in the winter (although the magic of global warming, it may not yet …). One thing that has been very difficult for us in recent years has been a winter of drought related to dry nose, throat and eyes. We bought Airwash Venta and I admit, is largely a waste of money. It is a well-intentioned, but does not really add much moisture in the air. At the same time, Venta was very expensive to buy and expensive measures to require a lot of additives. As one critic said: “The Holy Mother of G * d! $ 439 and what?”
This is pretty much encapsulate the experience Venta …
So, as usual, I spent days and days of learning to read humidifiers and basically they all craptacular, but rather to become very promising. Vornado, one of whom was a friend and enjoy. We really liked the design and engineering of this device, but said that a little more, we could pull the trigger Bemis 4D7 800 Digital Humidifier Evaporative w / AirCare ® Filter. The biggest differences we can see that Bemis had better opportunities to take care of our house deep in the same way Vornado, with some additional features:
* Disperse up to 13 liters of water per day over 2700 square meters of space.
* Holds up to 5 5 liters water.
* infinitely adjustable fan speed up a quiet night.
* Digital control panel
* Automatic humidistat maintains optimum humidity.
* pulley wheel disconnected from the power to facilitate cleaning.
* Control Panel, hidden to maintain clean lines and stylish device.
So I put in the lobby and take and it seems to do a good job. It is a beautiful machine, very clean lines and blends well house. It is great, and it is like a radiator in this room today, but the space is a kind of death anyway, so there is no great loss. It is important however is that, like Vornado, it makes GLUG GLUG GLUG sound Another time, which takes some getting used to …
this study, NO Humidifier is perfect – they all have various shortcomings. This device seems to be one of the best that it does a good job by adding moisture to air (but not overdoing it complain about the warm mist humidifiers), and is fairly easy to clean. Overall, a humidifier is very good and does its job excellently. I recommend.

I bought it directly from Amazon, 25 january 2008. The electric motor is February 5, 2009. Unit is one year parts warranty.
Although I live in the state implied warranty, I did not bother trying to get it as I bought it for an American Express card, so I am entitled to the refund. At least one other manufacturer – Moistair – offers a two year warranty on the engine and the one-year warranty on all other parties. This is what I do in my refund AMEX.

We had a Humidifier Bemis (12 gal), who has just died from the worked well enough and winter seasons NEW. The best I can say this Essick 4D7-800 is the same model (apparently subsidized products Bemis Essick years ago), but added digital controls. My online search for a new “whole house” humidifier yesterday, I found more complaints than praise for all brands and models. So I ordered this unit with fingers crossed, I hope that I can get nine years also. Yes, our old equipment has been manufactured and is blowing and the weather was a bit much at the top, but it has enabled our house 4300 square meters. (We also have a unit humdifiying our complete heating system, but needs more of it!) Of our time, a fairly constant around 4-5 months a year, only cleaned up each season, and moved a bit (~ $ 17) once a year. We are full of large and heavy plastic bottles once a day and added to the Small Cap bacteriostatic therapy general meets about every other bottle. Appearance of the unit itself is not as bad as that seems made of wood, plastic, fake, and pretty quiet in our home.
